Overview

The General Volunteer role is an entry point for individuals who want to serve, support, and get involved with Faith and Freedom America – Tarrant County but may not yet know where they are best suited. General Volunteers assist across a variety of ministry needs including events, outreach, administrative support, prayer initiatives, and church engagement. This role allows individuals to explore service opportunities while helping the ministry operate with excellence and momentum.

This is a flexible, relational role designed to welcome people into the mission, build community, and help volunteers discern where God may be calling them to serve long-term.


Purpose of the Role

To provide flexible, on-demand support to Faith and Freedom America – Tarrant County across events, outreach, administration, and ministry initiatives, while helping volunteers discover their gifts, passions, and calling.


Core Responsibilities

General Volunteers may assist with one or more of the following, based on availability and interest:

  • Assist with event setup, teardown, and logistics at Freedom Nights, trainings, or church gatherings.

  • Serve at information tables by welcoming guests, sharing materials, and directing people to next steps.

  • Support outreach efforts, including distributing flyers, inviting others, and helping spread awareness.

  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as organizing materials, assembling packets, or preparing resources.

  • Support the Prayer Team by praying for events, leaders, churches, and community needs.

  • Help with special projects or short-term initiatives as needed.

  • Represent Faith and Freedom America with joy, humility, and integrity in all interactions.


Volunteer Commitment & Conduct
  • 1–5 hours per month, depending on interest and availability.

  • No long-term commitment required; volunteers may serve occasionally or more regularly.

  • No compensation is provided.

  • General Volunteers agree to:

    • Uphold the Faith and Freedom America Code of Conduct.

    • Serve with humility, reliability, and a Christ-honoring attitude.

    • Maintain a nonpartisan posture while representing the ministry.

    • Communicate clearly about availability and commitments.


Qualifications
  • A professing believer in Jesus Christ, active in or connected to a local church.

  • A willingness to serve and support the mission of Faith and Freedom America.

  • Reliable, teachable, and respectful of leadership and fellow volunteers.

  • No prior experience required — training and guidance will be provided.

  • Must be at least 18 years old (or serve with parental approval, if applicable).


Volunteer Growth Path

General Volunteers may later be invited or encouraged to step into specific volunteer or leadership roles such as:

  • Freedom Advocate

  • Table Team Volunteer

  • Prayer Team Member

  • Church Connector

  • Special Event Team

  • Civic Engagement Team

  • Director-level volunteer roles

This role is designed to help individuals discern where God may be calling them to serve more deeply.
